Big Game Hunting for Moose & Black Bear
Huge bull Moose with racks ranging from 37 to 55 inches are available for harvesting for the hunters who wish to choose between three different lakes. All hunts are exclusive fly-in hunting trips at Silsby Lake Lodge. The DNR has reported a very strong moose population in our area, which was scanned by helicopter in 2004. Silsby-Lake offers 6 moose hunting tags in an area that is utilized only by our clients. Manitoba resident moose hunters do not enter this very remote area as long flights are cost prohibitive. Other outfitters and guides are not allowed to hunt in our allocated hunting area.

Combo Bear and Moose hunts are also available. Fishing for Walleye and the well fed trophy northern pike (very heavy fish with huge girths in September) on these trips is gratis. Just remember to bring a rod set for heavy action and large lures/tackle.
Unpredictable weather ranging from plus 60 to minus 20 F. is not uncommon. We would ask that you pack only your personal gear, guns and ammo. Personal gear should be restricted to 60 pounds and packed in soft cover bags rather than hard cover.

Our extremely remote area in Manitoba offers the highest concentration of Black Bears and Cinnamon Bears of any other location in the province. We strive for conservation at Silsby and in order to ensure 100% success, we offer only 6 tags per year. Hunters enjoy the tree stand technique allowing them to choose between which bear is to be harvested. Bear stand areas are baited well in advance of your arrival to ensure your trip will be a success. A fishing and hunting trip that unforgettable memories are made of.
