Anyone who has caught a 45 inch PLUS Northern Pike will tell you that they are truly in a class by themselves. When your rod tip stays steady and then dives straight down...it's a good bet you have a giant on the end of your line. Silsby Lake and our outpost camp lakes- High Hill Lake and Cuddle Lake give our anglers a much better chance at catching these giant Pike.
10 year old Mason Thimjon (right) caught this giant 45 inch Northern in mid July. The rest of his family caught seven other Master Angler Northerns while on their trip.

The Kruse family caught a pile of trophy Northerns in late July. Bill Kruse (right) caught a 46 1/2 inch Northern and a 47 inch Northern in the same day! The rest of the family also caught giant Pike as Jarod Kruse caught a 47 inch Northern and Mark Kruse caught a 46 inch Northern.
Late August fishing really turned on the "Giants" as our guests were raising or catching 45 inch PLUS Pike on a daily basis. Larry Leitner caught the Pike of the 2011 season measuring a whopping 49 1/2 inches. Two more 48 inch Northerns were caught in the following few days.
