In 2012, our newly renovated airstrip will accommodate direct flights from Winnipeg. This privately chartered turbo prop jet will fly you safely to Silsby Lake in 1 hr. 45 min.
On our American Plan & Outpost Camp trips, guests can travel from virtually anywhere in the United States and arrive at Silsby via commerical airlines through the Winnipeg International Airport. From Winnipeg, our guests travel on our privately chartered flights provided by Calm Air and Keystone Air Service. With over 30 years of experience, we have streamlined our operation to eliminate any problems associated with transportation to & from Winnipeg, and from our Main Lodge to Outpost Camps. To assist guests in Winnipeg before & after their trip, we have a Winnipeg Coordinator to greet & help in any way needed.
The newest addition to the Calm Air fleet, the ATR42-300 offers increased cargo/baggage capacity, longer range and the comfort level our guests have come to expect... leather seats, extra legroom, and roomy passenger cabin. For the American Plan guests, once you arrive at Silsby you will be shuttled to the lodge on a secluded island getaway for the duration of the trip. For the Outpost Camp guests, once you arrive you will be given your licenses, orientation, and food package. After orientation you will depart by boat (High Hill guests) or vehicle (Cuddle Lake guests) to your camp. When your stay is over our staff will chauffeur you to our 4000' airstrip where a chartered turbo prop jet will safely take you to your destination. You will reflect on the days that have passed and hopefully return once again to experience the beauty and excitement of Silsby Lake Lodge.
