Kip and Sean
We have been going to Canadian fishing camps for over 45 years and never have we been to a camp as well run as Silsby Lake Lodge. The fishing was excellent as I caught my largest pike ever at 45". All of the guides were fun to be with and couldn't have worked harder. Looking forward to seeing you all again next season.
A very happy,

Sean - thanks again for making Silsby happen for me and my dad. The fishing, food, guides, and staff were all top notch and we do plan on going again very soon.
Some of the friendliest, knowledgeable and sincere people I have ever met…Kip sits down every day with you - at breakfast and at dinner, always willing to share stories and hear about your day. The housekeeping / food staff were excellent..Some of the tastiest homemade bread I'ver had.
And the fishing….hard to say how many fish we caught, but I do know my dad caught 6 trophies, lost another one or two - the largest being 45"! The breakdown - 1-45", 1-43.5", 2-42" and 2-41". In addition, he landed a 40' at the dock! For myself, I had a few broken leaders, 2 snapped 40# lines, and finally a trophy on the last day..right at 41". We had a blast trying out most of our newly acquired lures, however, the most successful one of the week was the one our guide, Leonard would use and let me borrow from time to time…a medium black/fire bull dawg..Must have caught 100 fish on it alone. Leonard was the best guide we've had and we would definitely use him again..In addition to being a great fish-finder, he's quite the chef…even made us homemade bannock to accompany our fish, potatoes and corn…awesome…

For the trip itself, I could not have asked for anything more perfect! The weather was sunny every day, food was great (but too much of it!), service was excellent, guide (Richard) was the best I have ever had, fishing was great (295 total for the week), we got 5 trophies, the largest caught by my 85 year old father that was 47 ¼ inches! What else can I say? I brought him up for one last big trip to try and get him a trophy and he catches a fish that ties the largest caught in camp for the entire summer (according to Richard). He matched me cast for cast and we caught about the same number each total for the week. Other trophies were 45', 43", and two 41 ¼" fish. The 47 ¼" fish had a girth of 19". It was an absolute pig. Buried itself in the weeds and took around 13 - 14 minutes to get out of the weeds and land. I have it all on video, except for the very end getting it into the net. I accidentally hit the button in my excitement and shut the video off! We have photos though that I will attach. I will try to send the video portion in separate email, but it is very large. You will like the Silsby Lake plug I put in during the fight. Frankenstein was a 41 ¼" fish with a huge head and long skinny body.
Thanks for everything,

Sean:
The food was great, even my son Justin had enough. The guides were excellent and
we loved having the lake all to ourselves. Looking forward to our next trip... If you ever
need a recommendation, please call on us. We'll forward our pictures to Travis in
the next couple of weeks.
I just can't say enough to let you know what a great time we had.

Hello Sean:
Thank you for a wonderful trip. The fishing was the best we have had in our 12 years going to Canada. Between the 2 of us in 8 full days fishing, we had 12 trophies. The better part is that we had 178, what we call quality fish. Our guide Dick tried to write down lengths as we caught them, if they were over 34". Sometimes he could hardly keep up. The fishery is very healthy, as most of the fish are what we call (wide bodies). Here is one of the many fine fish that Kevin and I caught on our trip. Thanks again for everything you did to make our trip great. We still talk about it almost every day. Good food, good service, a fantastic trip. How could we ask for more? Thanks Again
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

We just returned from our 4 days at Silsby. We had a terrific time - excellent fishing both in terms of numbers and size. Our group had 21 trophies. Eric Flamholtz had an incredible 8 trophies. We probably want to see what we can do to get a 5 day trip scheduled for the 12th, 13th or 14th of June for next year.

Sean:
The trip was excellent!!!!!. The fishing was great, and we all caught several "Trophies", along with many more large fish and I caught my first Walleye. The staff and the facilities are outstanding, and in a short while I felt so at home that it seemed like I knew them all my life. The weather was not that bad because when you are catching fish and having fun; who cares about the weather!!!!! I have already recommended Silsby Lake Lodge to some friends, and half the Town of Bayport, (including the people in the Post Office); have seen the pictures of my "Trophies". Thank you for your advice before I went up, and the Power Pro worked great.
Let's keep in touch.
All the Best,

Sean:
We had a great trip to Silsby this year! We caught 120+ teenage pike, and 20 trophy pike, among 8 fishermen across 5 days, the largest of which was 45". We also caught Walleye at will, the vast majority of which were over 20", the largest 27". Our guides were Terry, Justin, Austin, and Travis - no complaints. The food was good. The weather was good. I am in the process of polling our fishermen for interest and dates. It is quite probable that we will have 14-16 fishermen next year. This year's 8 fishermen will all be returning, plus 5 or 6 from last year that didn't make this year's trip. We also have some "newbie's" that have expressed an interest.
